90-percent of the time I cannot make a call with my Macbook thru my iPhone. It has a really horrible connection and, laggy and the people cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. I restarted my Macbook and was able to make one call but then all the others were complete crap in call quality. When I first got the Macbook I was making calls fine.

Is this a problem with Continuity, the Macbook, or the iPhone?

Also when I start typing a text message on my iPhone, the message icon appears on the Macbook dock, but when I click it, it takes me to the conversation but nothing I typed is there.

How exactly are you making a call from your MacBook thru your iPhone?

SMC reset seems to have fixed the calling issue. However handoff is still not working properly, not just in Messages, but Pages too. Mail seems to be the only app that works properly by keeping the text.

It's built into iOS 8 and OSX 10.10.

I had to sign out of iCloud on both my rMBP and my iPhone and then sign back in before Handoff started working correctly.

iMessage doesn't handover the partially written text on mine either.

I didn't know that was a thing, though. In fact, are you sure it is?

Pages, calls, mail, instant hotspot, etc. all work perfectly for me.
