Problem connecting "old" bluetooth devices to new iPad Pro 2018

friends....

anyone have issues with connecting an "old" bluetooth device to the new ipad Pro 2018 (that uses bluetooth 5.0)?

I have a logitech R500 remote presenter that pairs perfectly with the ipad pro 10.5 (that uses bluetooth 4.2) but it cannot pair with the new ipad pro 11 inch...

I am devastated...anyone has any experience or advice for me please...
