Now that my new rMBP has arrived, I want to be able to connect my laptop to my 60" LG HDTV via an HDMI cable.

When I connect it, the edges are cut off. I've tried to go through all the settings, with scaling to either the rMBP or the HDTV, but have not been able to make it match the tv. I want to be able to run apps and watch movies on my HDTV but it gets very difficult when I can't view the full screen.

Can anyone help me with this?

Try seeing if disabling Active Mirroring fixes it.
