I was doing a little tidying up and I think I've made a terrible mistake. Apparently in my tidying up, the icons of several applications were somehow removed and replaced with a general app icon. Unfortunately, I don't know how to deal with it so I am including 3 pictures to show what the problem is. The first is the dock and the other two are to show which programs are affected by this disaster.

As you can imagine, this makes it very confusing to determine which icon is which on the Dock.

I tried reinstalling Safari, removing the "general app icon" of it from the Dock, and the re-adding the new install to the dock and that seemed to work, but... do I really need to go through reinstalling all of the affected programs? Or is there a simple solution since it only affected a few of the icons (i.e. a damaged playlist)? Or perhaps it is possible to revert back to Lion's default preferences, etc.
