Problem during ibook G3 HD install

Well we changed the hard drive in my friends G3 800 but now when you turn it on nothing comes up on the screen. It will act like it starting up, read the cd a little than sit idle. Any suggestions as to what to check?

check that the multi-colored cable under the ram shield is plugged in 😕
