Last night my friend had downloaded 1100 wedding photos and while looking through them their computer froze. She decided to just shut it off by hitting the power button. But now she can’t get it to come back on. It just goes to a white screen and tries to load.

Basically she needs to boot the computer up to delete the photos. I think that it is bogging down the hard drive and that is causing the issue so they just need to get the photos deleted. I'm not sure how to get her laptop back up.

any ideas?

Hello - do you have any further information on what year / model the MacBook Pro is? Based on your description it sounds like it could be attributed to the computer not being able to find a boot volume.

More often than not, with 13'' MacBook Pros, this will be a result of a failed Hard drive flex cable.
