I connected my Unibody MBP to an old external TV (composite), using an active converter. (this one)

When I connect it in Vista, the resolution of the external screen is 640x480 and I can't change that in the configuration panel.

The problem is ... I bought this thing, so I could play GTA IV on my TV instead of on the MBP's screen and GTA IV won't start in 640x480 (I think => it's giving me an error at start-up when in 640x480) but only in 800x600 and up.

Is there any way accomplish what I want anyway?
Maybe to force GTA IV to run in 640x480 or maybe force a 800x600 resolution on the external TV?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: found a solution!
