I found this article today and thought it might be a good thing to try out.

Unfortunately, when I tried to connect my iPod 4th Gen to my 2008 Macbook (Leopard), it would only detect the iPod as (initially) portable and (later on) as a headset with only the headset functionality available to me. Any way I can make it detect my iPod as an iPod and not a headset?

Thanks.

I believe you won't be able to access it through bluetooth. There might be a way through jailbreaking but otherwise I highly doubt it. I'm looking through guides and manuals right now to see if there is something.
