Since a few days, I seem to have no flash capability in Safari. I have OS X 10.4.7 on a MBP 15" and am using Safari 2.0.4 with Saft 8.3.4.

I don't see any setting that enables/disables flash, and the weird thing is that I actually don't get a error on a page either. All that happens is a blank gap on the page where the flash object should be.

I didnt have this before, just happened, did not do anything special. I tried reinstalling but that did not help.

Do you have flashplayer.xpt, Flash Player Enabler.plugin and Flash Player.plugin located in your Internet Plug-Ins folder in the Library folder? Did you reinstall Safari or Flash? :)

Yep, they are all there, and as I said, I did not re-install anything

Umm, just to clarify, did you reinstall anything? Also, does it work if you open a new user account? Are other browsers working properly with Flash? Have you tried resetting Safari from the Safari menu? :)

Thing got better: flash in camino works.... I really can't figure out what the problem is here.

Make sure this box is checked in Safari preference (highlighted in red)

For me the issue was not that. I had safari installed with Saft and somehow Shift-Command-L was "Disable all Plugins". I accidentally activated this when trying to activate the download window which is Option-Command-L
