There are two ways known by me of reseting the ipod touch:
Holding both the power button and "home button" for six seconds.
My Result: It keeps taking pictures. And I keep pressing simultaniously. I've tried about fourty times. I know have tons of pictures of four shadow people dancing with headphones.
Holding the power button down until the turnpower off slider pops down from the top in the front screen (whatever its called).
My Result: I hold the button down, but nothing happens. rather the screen goes black in six seconds (due to i i guess inactivity. how can i change that?). i rependently try that and It keeps going black.
My power button doesnt seem to be responding to long touches, only short ones that you can quickly turn off and on the screen (or lock the screen. whatever its called). The home button works perfecly. I have a second generation 32 GB Ipod Touch that i bought in April of 09'. I treat it fairly well. My question is: Is there another way of restarting the ipod besides jailbreaking or sending back my ipod for warranty/repairs. Thanks for the help, and excuse my lack of knowledge on the correct terms for everything. Its very late and I am very tired.
