I have an i5 MacBook Pro. Occasionally, I have a problem when waking the machine wherein I am presented with a black screen, and a mouse pointer. I can move the mouse around, but never get the screensaver password dialog. The only solution is to do a "hard" shutdown by holding the power button. Any troubleshooting suggestions? I repair permissions every couple of weeks, but it doesn't seem to have helped with this issue.
