trying to open a .dmg file but a warning came up saying "following disk image failed to mount" and giving the reason as "not recognised". a friend told me to try opening it with toast which opened it in the Copy-image file section. i tried to burn it to dvd (it's 3.6 GB) but was told "cd-rom xa or audio files cannot be written to dvd" tried to burn it to cd was told it was too big. can anyone help? opening the original, burning to dvd or mutiple cds. anything!🙂

It may have been corrupted during download. You can attempt to use Disk Utility to try and repair it, otherwise you'll likely have to redownload it.

thanks. tried repairing it already, didn't work. i got it off a friend who said he had no problems installing the program. could he have maybe caused the problem when he burnt it to disk?
