Please please help. I am trying to record my guitar in Logic but can't enable a track to record. I also keep getting this message :-

The previously selected audio interface is not available.

The built-in audio inputs and outputs of the computer will be used instead for this session.

i am using Logic Express 7 on a MacBook trying to record the guitar by going straight into the line in. It worked before but can't get it going again.

Any help would be very much appeciated.

Cheers BriC

I just bought a "behringer guitar link UCG102". I can now hear the guitar, but it sounds terrible, has a distorted fuzz to it - which is not intended. Any thoughts how to get rid of this??

Ok I have sorted this out and am posting this solution incase anyone has the same problem in the future. To stop the distortion in the headphones I had to

Go to -> Applications/Utilities -> Audio Midi setup; than set Audio output to 44100 Hz / 2ch-16bit.

However, on a couple of occasions this has caused my MacBook to crash like this

Any clues on how to prevent this??

I bought a ucg102 today and it does work with my macbook running 10.5.3, in Garageband, but occasionally I get distortion. Thought if I quit Garageband and run it again, it fixes the problem.

I've not tried the supplied SW (Native instruments)
