Hi:
I've been having a problem trying to restore my first gen ipod touch. The main problem is it doesn't stay in recovery mode long enough so iTunes can restore it.
I put it in recovery mode manually (by the well known sequence of holding sleep + option steps) and it goes to the "connect to iTunes" screen, it is recognized then by iTunes but only stays in this mode for a short time. While iTunes is performing the steps to restore it, it goes black or shows apple logo and afterwards iTunes ends up showing different errors like 2009, 1604, 1603 or 21. The first times I tried to restore it, the problem always occur during the step where iTunes was unpacking the firmware so I thought the ipsw previously downloaded was the cause and I deleted it, then iTunes downloaded a new one but the problem persisted. Then I put it in recovery mode and just waited without starting the recover process and realized that it went black after a while no matter what iTunes were doing.
Anyone has any ideas?
Thanks in advance
