Problem running portal 2 on imac 2011 i7 in native res

    I just received my bto imac 2011 3.4 with the radeon hd 6970m 2gb gpu.

    I am trying to run portal 2 in native. I cannot. It is not even showing 2569 x 1440 as an option. I can run two worlds 2 in native (looks amazing and smooth as butter by the way)

    Anyone else having the same challenge? Any fixes? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    the game doesnt support that resolution im guessing..

    It does though, I had the 2010 imac and native worked for the 5750.

    Also barefeats has benchmarks of the game in that resolution.

    Switch to 16:9 and it'll be there. I know cuz I wasn't playing it yesterday on my new iMac.

    It starts out at 8x6 or some really low res. Just gotta play with the settings a bit.

    yep that was it! It was set to 16:10 to enable native you have to do 16:9. Runs and looks amazing now.
