Problem sending attachments to Windows recipients.I have gone into edit and to attachments and checked off- Always send Windows friendly attachments also Always insert attachments at end of message.
When they receive the attachment they are not able to open-what they get is a new window that states File Download with the following-
Name: Contact Information.pages
Type:Compressed (zipped)Folder
From:65.55.85.23
I have also gone into Mail Preferences and changed Composing from Rich text to Plain still does not open on a Windows PC.
Peculiar thing is that I had sent these attachments from my PC to my new iMac and they open quite easily.
Appreciate the help.

Thanks for the info-I was not sure what application to use-in Windows I used Word.
So when I create a document etc what program and or application do I use on a Mac.

In pages you can save the document in Word format, use the Save As function.

Also in all applications you can print a .pdf that can be read with a any PC.
