hi,
i would like my friend to share his screen to me so i can see his mac and take control
he has activated messages (and said no to do you want to receive messages with iphone)
i can send messages to him and get his replies
when he sends a request to share his screen i don't get any invitation
and he gets a message that I am not allowing to connect or something,
can you help me with this it is very frustrating
because i used to use teamviewer and it was easy enough for a 5 year old to connect in 1 minute,
and now it is incompatible, then theres anydesk seems cool too but he crashes when he opens it (sierra?)
HEEEELP

I can't help you with Messages and screen sharing but with Teamviewer you should definitely be able to connect.

using 13.2.1438 on high sierra obliges un update, update that fails and crashes and offers version 15 but then says incompatible with my 10.13.5 high sierra

different methods described - maybe try the one below the iMessage method.

hi yes saw this page very useful
but since they describe Mac for Remote Access
then they say Share Your Screen Over the Internet via iMessage
I assumed remote access wasn't over internet.

do you know if remote access works over internet?
thx

as I understand it yes It works over the Internet. iMessage screen sharing, and macOS built in screen sharing need internet access to work. Hope that helps.
