I recently lost the leather keyboard cover I bought before I even received my powerbook. I am now having trouble getting my powerbook to close! I push the top all the way down and then have to press all over the top of the PB to somehow eventually get it to latch shut. I thought I read something about this before but I was unable to find any matches for my searches. I am thinking about calling apple. Please give me any suggestions you have.

If the latch isn't popping up to keep it closed, it could be a problem with the magnet that pulls the latch up. Just give Apple a call or take it into an Apple Store.

so, you used to stick a piece of leather between your keyboard and screen when you closed it... and now that leather thingy is gone. and now you're having problems closing it?

listen to yellow, just take it to a Apple store to get it looked at.
