problem trrying restore ios 5.0.1 in iphone 3gs

sir,
i am using iphone 3gs with cydia following config ( Version 4.1(8B117), Modern firmware 06.15.00, Cydia 1..1.1, SHSH ios 4.0, 4.1, 4.0.2, 4.1, 4.2.1r1). i try to restore ios to 5 but got error 3194 everytime, i added 74.208.151.171 gs.apple.com in host file but the problem not solved. please help me for my ios5.0.1 upgrade and jailbreaking
 
Did you cook a custom 5.0.1 firmware with Redns0w or snowbreeze? your phone has Ipad baseband on it and you can't restore it to Apple office firmware.

sir tryed to install custom 5.0.1 firmware with snowbreeze (sn0wbreeze_iPhone 3GS-5.0) selected the option with baseband preservation mode and add 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com in host file ,but i got the same error please help

Apple stops signing 5.0 already, you can't restore to OS5 any longer, you can only restore to the latest firmware Apple is signing now which is 5.0.1. So, you must use snowbreeze 3GS-5.0.1 and not OS5.

sir i am beginner in iphone so can u tell me how to install ios step by step with links of latest ios

i got no service error after restored my iphone 3gs to ios5.0.1 from 4.1 my base band 06.15.00 shsh:4.0.1, 4.1,4.2 ,i did the following steps for restore
downloaded : sn0wbreeze v2.8b11 , iPhone2,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore

Step 1. Opened Sn0wbreeze and browse for the 5.0.1 firmware
Step 2. Select new boot rom
Step 3. Choose expert mode.
Step 4. Click on general then next. with in the general option click check the box “activate the iPhone”.
Step 5. Click next then choosed build ipsw then click next again.
Step 6. ipsw is done, sn0wbreze guided in putting device into a pwnd DFU mode.
Step 7. Opened Itunes and shift click or option click on restore. Browse for the sn0wbreeze ipsw that was created on desktop.
Step 8. After it is done restoring my device stuck on the apple logo screen. Open up iBooty
Step 9. In iBooty just selected device and put my device into DFU mode device then boot up.
then i configured and opened cydia installed ultrasnow after that reboot my device

but my device shown now no service. please help me for solve this.

Since Apple stops signing OS5, you can't go back down to OS5. you can only downgrade it to 4.1 and then jailbreak and unlock it. The reason you can downgrade to 4.1 is that for some reason, Apple still sign that firmware and you can downgrade it to that firmware without SHSH blobs save.

thanks can i upgrade to ios5.0.1 from ios4.1 again after ultrasnow will release for ios5.0.1

Yes, you can. Also, check to see if you have old bootrom or new bootrom 3GS, if you have old bootrom 3GS, then you will have untethered jailbreak on 5.0.1 when you decide to go back to this firmware.

i restore 5.0.1 but i got no service error then i try the followings steps to downgrade 4.1 ,i cant restore 4.1 got an error 1600

Run tiny umbrella and UNCHECK set host to cydia on exit.

Step 1. Opened Sn0wbreeze 2.1 and browse for the 4.1 firmware
Step 2. Select iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore_2
Step 3. Choose expert mode.
Step 4. Click on general then next. with in the general option click
check the box “activate the iPhone”.
Step 5. Click next then choosed build ipsw then click next again.
Step 6. ipsw is done, sn0wbreze guided in putting device into a pwnd DFU mode.
Step 7. Opened Itunes and shift click on restore.
Browse for the sn0wbreeze ipsw that was created on desktop.


i got 1600 error while restore
please help
 
You can use official 4.1 fw to restore your phone to it. At the end of the process, Itunes will give you a 1015 error. Open tiny umbrella, click on your phone at the upper left hand corner, then look at the upper right hand side, click on the box "exit recovery". Your phone will boot up to emergency screen.

i restored sucessfully at end i got 1015 i do exit recovery, now my iphone boot in emergency screen what i do next to complete jailbreak

2 things you can do;

1. Activate with official sim, then jaibreak it with Redsn0w or limera1n, then unlock it with Ultrasn0w.

2. If you don't have official sim on hand, then hactivate/jailbreak it with redsn0w, then install Ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock it.
 
Listen to what CRX is telling you, he knows his stuff well
And next time dont be in a rush to upgrade when the unlock is not even compatible with the firmware version you're upgrading to and cant even use the device as a phone.
You can even restore to a custom 4.1 IPSW created with snowbreeze or pwnage.

please help to how to hactivate with redsnow 4.1, iphone 3gs bb 06.15.00 detailed

now my mobile completly dead.
 
Crystal, u seem like the guy to ask. I have the same problem as this and have followed the steps but i was on official 5.0.1 with no signal and have used the official 4.1 to downgrade, i didn't get the 1015 error code and i've tried to jailbreak and deactivate with redsn0w but its not deactivating, i'm just getting the plug into itunes screen, any ideas??
