Hi guys this is my first thread so sorry if i did something wrong or broke oany rule but anyway.

I am trying to delete my windows partition using the bootcamp assitant (following this site : http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/01/26/how-to-delete-a-boot-camp-partition/), then i clicked on restore but its been restoring for a long time and nothing happens.

Can you guys give me any suggestions?

Any help is welcome.

Anyway Thankyou.

Is it possible the password prompt (screen 5) is hidden behind something else?

Do you ever see a screen like #6?

Yeah man i did all the steps and got this screen going on but it has been going on for too long and seems like it never ends.

any solutions?

Anyway Thankyou.

You can do it entirely manually in Disk Utility. Go to the Partition tab. Select the Windows partition. Hit the minus sign to delete it. Then drag the lower right corner of the Mac partition down to resize it.

If you try this, you might get an idea of what is taking so long and get a better error message.

If you got another way to fix my problem please tell me.

What if you don't have a Partition tab within the disk utility? I have OS 10.4.11 so maybe they added the partition tab later? I can click the Windows drive/parallel but it won't let me erase it. The option to erase is grayed out. In info, it says my Windows drive is read only, so that might be part of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
