I'm using a Mac Pro 3,1 SSD and 22GB RAM. All works perfectly. I PATCHED the OS with DOSDUDE SW last year with excellent results. 10.13.5 currently, and I've been able to update from 10.13.1 to current 10.13.5 without any issues.

However I tried updating to 10.13.6 - and get this:

An error occurred while running scripts from this package:
"macOSUpd10.13.6,RecoveryHDUpddate.Pkg . (RESTART)

I can restart and the update continues and reloads 10.13.6, however, WEB content in any windows does not display properly or not at all. If I wait, I get the prompt to INSTALL UPDATES, the update runs but can't find any file to update to. I had read 'something' about the GPU needing updating which related to WEB CONTENT. BTW, I've tried multiple re-installs but alway ended up with the message above. Wondering if the update was corrupt?

Any ideas or suggestions? I've reverted back to 10.13.5 using my SuperDuper and all is well on that version.

Phil

I encountered the identical situation with my Mac Pro 3.1 High Sierra 10.13.5 to 10.13.6: Displays "Error in script" and message "not supported on this device".

More detailed bugs are: App Store screens briefly display info and turn immediately blank thereafter.
Same applies to [Enter Time Machine], i.e. briefly displays all previous backup dates and then fades out to the right and disappears.

In addition CMD+R Recovery mode after reboot displays barred circle.
Managed reboot with Option-key and which displayed [Macintosh HD] (system drive) and [Recovery 10.13.5]. Upon selection of 10.13.5 again a barred circle is displayed.

In the end I just reinstalled the patched 10.13.5 and followed the post-install by dosdude1. Now Mac Pro 3.1 working flawlessly again in 10.13.5

All you have to do is download Onyx, install it, hit the Maintenance tab and hit Run. After it runs reboot and you should be good to go. To download Onyx you can copy the dmg link directly and it will download even with the blank screen issue in Safari and Chrome.

System appears to be stable on an iMac 9,1 on 10.13.6 after running Onyx maintenance, whether the script errors actually caused any other issues remains to be seen.

Many thanks ttcole1254, it worked like a charm (both for previous blank App Store and macMail bodies), except for my DriveDX.app which displayed Cyrillic characters however after re-installing the app, it also worked fine.
