I've got an early 2009 Mini and I want to use my Brookstone Wireless speaker with it. Problem is when I plug into the headphone jack the transmitter won't turn on. I know the transmitter works, but just not with the computer. Anyone encountered this problem? Any suggested workarounds?

Try it with an iPod to see what the issue is. If it is just going through the standard jack, I don't see why it would discriminate against the Mini.
