I’m new at this Mac business and have a question.

I have a White MacBook, latest one, 2.4, 2GB, 160 HD, etc. When I watch videos, such as Youtube, in a three minute video it will stop at least 3 times apparently to allow the streaming to catch up. Other attempts at other sites does the same thing. This after I talked to Apple and they suggested I download Perian and Flip4Mac, which I have done and installed in my applications folder. I've also looked at the Guide in MacRumors "Watching AVI movies in Mac", " Quick time plugins" for help and it also suggested Perian, Flip4Mac too. I've made several searchs of this forum and I must have missed the solution or did not recognize it if I did see it.

I can’t believe this machine can’t play a YouTube straight through. Woud appreciate some help if there is anything I can do. Many thanks.

It seems like it is your internet connection. That determines how fast videos load.

Thank you for your reply.

I just ran a speed test on my DSL and it revealed a speed of 310 Kbps (download) and 211 Kbps (upload).

Could that be my problem? Thanks.

Went to Genius Bar, it's my connection. You were right.
