Received my iMac yesterday. Attempted to put Windows7 Ultimate on it.
After install, whenever I boot all I get is a black screen with a blinker cursor/dash in the upper left. What is this? Can my Win7 find it's boot file?
Under OS X, I can see the partition will all the install files, yet I can't boot into the system.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Did you format the drive correctly during install. I had my installation go funny yesterday.

I ran Boot Camp App to partition my drive.
Rebooted with Win 7 Disk in drive.
Selected Drive Options (Advanced) while Bootcamp drive selected
Clicked Format, OK
Clicked NEXT. All worked well.

Only problem with mine is that it has been delivered with a fly inside the screen that continues to move around inside the screen!

Wow. That's really weird. Anyway, yeah, I think tomorrow I'll keep trying to get it to work and I'll take it slow this time.

Thanks.

Is it a Chinese fly?
