I am using a USB external hard-drive as data storage for my PC and PB G4. It was formatted as FAT32 and work properly with my PC. However, it seems my PB G4 doesn't recognize my hard-drive when I plug it in. Pls advise if there are some potential failure on hardware or software.

Try using the Disk Utility in the Applications>Utilities folder. If the hard drive is directly connected to your computer via USB or Firewire, it may show up in the Disk Utility as an unmounted drive. If that's the case, I would just try to mount the drive and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what to suggest. Good luck!
