Problem with finding a website in safari

Hi, I am experiencing problems finding the 'host' for a website and also mail wont collect my email from the same server, now on the computer at work I can access them easily. I have done a ping and stuff but just say cant find host.

has anyone any ideas?

Your post is kinda unclear on what you are needing to know...

1. You accessing the website/server from home or work?
2. What OS you running? (Leopard, or Tiger, etc)

From what I see, it could be you are either not connected to a network or a firewall is blocking your ping to the server.

Edit: Could it be that the server/website you are asking is only accessible at work? Try VPNing in.

yeah, it sounds like you're trying to access a work site from home. You would need VPN access if available.

hi no its always been accessible until very recently! my girlfriend can access via her computer as can many others so thats not the problem!

I am accessing the internet via wireless router, and I have leopard... using safari.

What, exactly, does Safari's error say. What problems are you having with Mail?
