I just replaced the hard drive in my 1.83GHz Core Duo Macbook and re-installed Leopard. In order to run bootcamp it says I need a boot rom update. I downloaded the update from Apple's website, the 1.0 Macbook EFI update, and the Macbook says "computer does not this update" and then closes. Bootcamp says I do need it. I tried the update procedure by holding down power at startup until it blinks rapidly and still nothing. When I replaced my Macbook Pro hard drive I was able to update the firmware through the regular Apple Software Update module. That doesn't work either. Has anyone else out there had this problem with the Core Duo Macbooks? Help please.
