I am working in FCP 6 and am having problems rendering a project that I have applied a setting of 10% to create a very slow motion. I have checked the "Frame Blending for Speed" in the Render Control in Sequence Settings and in User Preferences. The sequence plays fine in the Canvas and in the Quick View. However when I render the project I loose the frame blending. The motion is jerky or strobing.

Any ideas?

Thanks, John

John,

I have not experienced or heard about the problem you describe. Just as a workaround, have you considered using Motion's retiming function to slow down your clip, and then import the slower video into FCP? With the optical flow algorithm that Motion 3 inherited from Shake, you should get relatively good results (even though a factor of 10 is pushing the envelope).

(I couldn't find the right word) maybe you could try to render the movie in another kind of file. (if you get what I mean)
