I recently fixed my old iPhone 4's cracked screen to give to my wife. Everything works perfectly, except for the front camera. If the flip camera button is pressed to use the front camera the shutter never opens and the slide for photo/video blinks some. The bad thing is you can't switch back to the back camera without doing a reset. Unless of course there is another way to just reset that or disable it?

I figured I may have pinched the ribbon of the camera, so I ordered another camera. Unfortunately, the new one behaves the same way.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I verified everything is seated tightly.

Not a huge deal just a nuisance for her if she ever clicks that swap button. Then the camera is useless until the phone is reset.

She will be getting a 4S in December, but that phone will go to her mom, so like to get things figured out.

Weekend bump. Any ideas?

Is there anyway to disable the front camera? Or is there an easier way to reset the camera default mode back to the main camera with reseting all settings?
