Not sure if this is a problem but for some reasons, mail app is taking forever to sync up with Gmail. I've been having this updating indicator next to my gmail mailbox for 6 hours now and it's downloaded nearly 3GB (according to Activity monitor). I checked my gmail account info and it says that my whole inbox on gmail server is only 1.22GB, does anybody else experience this?

Nope. If you press command-i , the mailbox truly shows only 1.22 GB ? Take the mailbox/account offline then back online and see what happens.
ah I sure hope not! Gmail is what I use, it'll suck if it doesn't work properly....it may just be a bug though. Submit a bug report to Apple!
