Problem with Homescreen background and SMS

After jailbreaking my 3g Iphone running 4.2.1, I have a small problem with the buttons in SMS when I use a homescreen background. It ends up putting little lines through the "send" and "edit buttons". Check out the screen shots below. Any idea how to fix this?

No. And I forget how to do it. 😱

Ok, doing a hard reset now. I'll let you know how I make out.
