Problem with imac internet

I've got a couple of week old imac and I'm having huge internet issues. Pages don't load fully and sometimes don't load at all. No problems on my macbook. Any ideas?

have you tried clearing the cache? or quitting Safari and restarting it?

failing all that, try a reboot and see if that helps?

i'm assuming your Safari is up to date?

How are you connected? Wirelessly or by ethernet?

Is it possible your wireless connection is dropping(assuming your using wireless)

I'm actually using wired connection. I'm trying camino browser now, seems to have done the trick? Wouldn't see why FF 3 and Safari wouldn't work though

IN this kind of issues , it is not the problem with the browser even if it safari or mozilla firefopx it doesn't matter , it is the problem of DNS

That is ,
system prefrences ->Adavanced->DNS->and click on + sign there and add 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1
and give it a try and let me know

My download speeds have always been plenty fast (2MB +) but my web browsing has been @(#* the past couple of weeks. (widget loading, logging onto ichat, ect...) I wonder what happened / changed? Its fixed, but still wondering what the root cause is?

If you have the problem with loading web pages as fast as it was before the problem occurred.

Here is the fix for it :-

1. Click on or your System Preferences icon from your Dock to open up System Preferences
2. Click on the Network icon to open up the Network window
3. Click on the Advanced button
4. Click on the DNS Tab
5. Add the DNS Server addresses 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 to the DNS list by clicking the + button.

I had the same problem. It is fixed now.

I had the same problem with my iMac (Pages would not load fully and sometimes would not load at all). I followed Vasanth's recommendation and the problem was fixed. I used 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and even joined OpenDNS. Thanks for the invaluable help.

My ISP is Comcast. Why would they not provide a good DNS or why would my DNS reslution not work before? Any idea? Anyway, thanks again Vasanth.
