I have a 16GB 1G iPod Touch. I am trying to load some applications on my device. I have already tried WinSCP, and I can't seem to get it to connect. So, I am going through the Installer sources route.

I am trying to get this repo list to go: http://iappcat.com/r/71877

But when I add it to the list of Installer sources, I get an error that tells me that it cannot decode the source.

Any suggestions?

First of all, this type of question goes in the "hacks" forum. Second, is the app you want to install not available through Cydia? I understand Cydia is much easier to use and more full-featured than Installer. Third, if you are on windows, try iPhoneBrowser (google it, and you should find it) -- you'll never bother with ssh again!
