hey guys

i just got my new macbook and i love it to death...

wierd thing happened today though. my friend brought me her office:mac cd and i started installing it... i went to the bathroom and when i came back she said that the install finished and she hit OK and took the cd out of the drive...

however, office does not appear in my applications (or anywhere else for that matter, except for the test drive which is in my trash)... and when i try to open a word document it says:

the operation could not be completed

an unexpected error occurred (error code -10660)

apple's website says nothing

google gives me nothing

help?!

should i just try to reinstall?

(p.s.- she accidentally damaged the cd shortly after we "finished" the install so i couldnt do it again, it'll have to wait another day or two)

Office takes a bit to install. It didn't install while you were in the bathroom unless you had a major bathroom detainment situation. You do realize her CD won't get better in a couple of days? :D

Since it's not your CD, you don't have a license to install it, so you can't get help with installed it at MacRumors.
