Hey,
I have had my iPod mini for just over 2 years now and it is starting to act up. It will randomly freeze while playing a song and at random times during the song. Up to now I have been solving the problem on a temporary basis by reseting the ipod and reloading my sons onto it. But now when I i press any button on the ipod it begins a series of beeping starting at a higher tone and workign its way down to a lower one and it beeps 9 times. It repeats this until it says contact apple support. Also during this time i can hear a clicking in the ipod that sounds almost like a shutter from a camera going off inside the ipod. What is this, is my ipod dead or can it be salvaged?

much thanks,
Nick
