Problem with: Java update

today I've run the software update, I select Java...

it begins downloading, when it goes to installing window it gets stuck in the middle!
I left it for hours, nothing changed
restarted, shut it down, repaired permission, nothing helped
how can I fix it?

one more thing, in Disk Utility, Repair or Verify permission the loading bar gets stuck all the time, it doesn't move at all!! 😱
though its gets the job done except its lot slower than my old iMac c2d tiger?! why is that

You can manually download the update here.

As for the Disk Utility slowness. . it's a common problem with Leopard. Hope they get it fixed soon!
