I've run into a problem on eBay and about just now 1/2 hr painful call on the phone arguing that I can't install Internet Explorer, clearing cookies, etc before the lady started ignoring me and chatting with a neighbor of hers.

Before I continue assuming I'm right and call back, can anyone else try this quick test to see if they see the issue?

Go to ebay and look for an item with a very long description. Here is one without any use to a Mac user you can search for:

330566689472

After item shows, push reload it in Safari. Does it look ok? What I see with items that have long description is that either on reload (or initially if I get to them from elsewhere) they show the description in a scroll area, the scroll area disappears within second, and then the description gets very long on left side, very unreadable.

Thanks if you can confirm you see this or not. Maybe the lady is right trying to convince me for 1/2 hour that it is unique to my "PC".

Loads perfectly for me - long description but displays perfectly and also after a reload.

Using 10.6.7 and Safari 5.0.5

No problem here !!!

It took me about 5 read of the OP to understand this, but anyway...

It is messed up after a refresh on Safari 5.0.5/OS X 10.6.6.
