This could have gone in either Tiger or Panther, but since I'm currently using Tiger, I'll put it here. I recently set up an IMAP account with Mail.app. I was messing around with it for about an hour before I got everything to work the way I wanted it to. Now, unfortunately, my Trash mailbox is gone. I tried making a new folder and using the "Use This As..." cmd, but nothing is working. I just want that little trash can back so I have a place to delete stuff too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My junk folder is gone in my Panther version of Mail and I don't know how to replace it either.

Both the Trash and the Junk folders are controlled in the preferences of Mail.

For trash, open Mail preferences and go to Accounts -> Special Mailboxes.

For Junk, open Mail preferences and to to Junk Mail.

Set the options according to your wishes.
