Problem with Mail!

Hey guys,
I JUST received my Macbook Pro 2 days ago, I updated everything that needed to be updated. Now, I got a Yahoo! Mail Plus just so I can sync it onto mail, although I found out you can't sync folders which sucks, but whatever.
My problems is the following: If I read my emails on my iphone, or even a regular pc using firefox or something, when I go into mail on my mac, all those messages still show as unread... And messages that I have deleted are appearing again.. What's going on? Any thoughts?

Did you set it up as a POP3 connection instead of LDAP?

POP doesn't work like IMAP. With POP, you download a copy of messages from the server to your phone. Then you download a copy to your Mac. What you do on the phone has no effect on what's on your Mac, and vice versa. If you want them to be in sync, where changes to one are reflected on the other, you need IMAP.
