Ok so I've got a MBP bought back in november, with Mac OS X Leopard. My problem is, when running windows, Bootcamp 2.0, no mic will be recognised. Neither the built-in, nor any one you connect will work. Doesn't matter if it's usb or jack, it won't work (even though it's recognised).

I'm working with Realtek HD audio drivers, as I didn't even have sound after installing Bootcamp.

Thanks 4 your help!

Yeah I've had this problem; are you using Vista? Try disabling the audio devices and re-enabling; I got the built-in mic to work.

Got it to work.

I know this is an old topic, but when you google problem with mic in bootcamp this is one of the first who comes up. So I am posting the resolution here:
This is on XP by the way.

First go to Control Panel. Then go to Sounds and Audio Devices. Then when you get the new window up go to the audio tab and make sure that under Sound Recording it is set to Realtek HD Audio Input. Now press the Volume button. When getting up the new window turn the mic volume all the way up and go to options - preferences. Now select the Realtek HD Digital Input in the mixer selection, check on the SPDIF and VOILA! Try it out.
