I've been using this VGA Adapter for a bit and still works. Currently, 1400x1050 works. But if I change the resolution on my external monitor to 1920x1080, the screen starts to shaky and become wobbly. In the beginning, 1920x1080 worked, but it doesn't work anymore.

It's not my adapter because it works with other projectors at high resolutions.

It's not my monitor because it works with other computers.

My drivers are installed and updated.

Macbook 13inch, 2010. 10.6.6.

What could be the problem?

If possible try moving away from all other electronics and see if there is possibly some noise your cable is picking up? Interference like this is generally less noticeable at lower resolutions, which would explain why it works fine at a lower res.

Otherwise, I'm not sure, I'm running my 15" just fine on a 1080p panel over VGA, I just had to grab a better shielded cable to filter some of the noise I was getting.
