Hi all, I'm writing you because I would like to be sure about the origin of my screen problem before order a new one.
From several months I could see purple rows in the upper-left side of my screen. If I try to make a screen shot I can't catch it, then I'm pretty sure it's a screen problem but you are more expert than me so, take a look please:

Thanks a lot :)

maybe I was not clear and I didn't explain at all : my mac is out of warranty so I only want be sure that the problem is the screen to avoid to buy a new one, replace it and then understand that wasn't the problem.

Do you know a method or a software to find out if there is something not working on other parts like motherboard or gpu ?

Thanks

This looks like an impact to me - has it been dropped or had something dropped on to it? Screen replacement through Apple will be pricey so be warned.

However, refer to these if you wish to run a diagnostic:
