ok so here is the deal. I was trying to load Ubuntu to run on my ex-windows PC so i followed the steps here:
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download

under the "burn to a CD or create a USB drive" ran the all the terminal language and everything. All the sudden my mac cannot see my HD anymore AT ALL (finder or disk utility). However it will show up on my PC (the ex-windows one mentioned earlier). What is going on here and how do i remedy this??

Those instructions need to be done on the thumb drive, not the computer's hard drive, that's what you did, right?
