Hello everyone, I recently bought a 2014 intel base Mac mini on marketplace and it was supposed to come with an m2 ssd but during transport it disconnected. So when I received it I just plugged it back but it is no't showing on the storage management app ( even in recovery mode ) but the ssd is doing an electric noise and getting a little bit hot (I suppose it's normal ). So idk if my ssd is broke or maybe the adapter .
May I get some help ?

Thanks

Joris

Is it fully seated in the socket? That looks to be a fair bit of connector sticking out.

Also maybe ensure the connectors and socket are clean? There is a fair amount of dust in there so maybe they became contaminated and that is affecting the electrical connections.

thanks you for the tip, I took the photo before cleaning everyrithings but now it's clean, I also unplugged the ssd and the adaptator. but still doesn't work :( I don't have idea of what it could be anymore

I'd try a different/replacement drive adapter first (with the existing drive).

If that didn't give better results, I'd replace the drive, too.

Re "storage management"...
Wondering if third party drives could impact this.

I've never used Apple's storage "management". Not ever.
I do my own managing, just fine.
