Problem with my mac mini

Hi I recently upgraded ram to 2gb in my 1.83GHz mac mini and I also removed the bootcamp partition and XP. since then each time I start up the computer I get 2" x 1/4" banks of lines down the screen and it hangs on the gray screen. Can anyone help and let me know what it could be. Thanks Broady

It's either a kernel panic or a bad disk file system. Can you boot into Apple Hardware Test (on your Mac OS X restore disk) and see what it says?
