I hope i'm using the right forum here. The problem is, my mac is working fine but when i close it, then open it again, i can hear it running but the screen is just black, like it's off. If I try to shut it down using the power button, when i turn it on again it doesn't make the sound like it does when it's starting up, just a much louder whirling sound, screen still black. Also when it's open the white light at the front is on and when it's closed it's off. The only way to get it working again is to leave it open until it dies, then wait about two hours, before plugging in the charger and it starts fine. I hope that's a clear description of my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, also it's plugged in just now but I notice it's not actually charging, it's sitting at 21% though which suggests it was charging at first but it's stopped. Thanks again in advance!

I re-installed OSX to get around this problem. At first when waking from sleep the screen would go grey and unresponsive then later on it started going black on waking from sleep.
It's ok now, it seems.
