Problem with my MacMini cd drive

Hello everyone, i've got a little problem here... It seems that my CD drive won't read any DVD's or CD's anymore.... when I put a CD in my mechanics it spins a few times and then it just pops up a message saying that I inserted a blank CD... it doesn't matter what CD or DVD I put in there, it simply won't read them... do you know what may cause the problem?

If it will boot from a Tiger/Leopard install disc (hold C while booting with the DVD in the drive) your mac is likely fine. Your OSX might be dead in the water and need a fresh install, but you can always archive and install.
