Hi all, I'm a newbie to this forum, though not to iPhones.

Have had the original 2G and then the 3GS.

I was very lucky last week and managed to get a 16gb iPhone 4 even though I didn't preorder or reserve one on launch day.

Anyway, I love the phone, display is stunning compared to my 3GS.
But I seem to be having problems with making phone calls.

Not sure if it's the phone or my network (O2) but when making phonecalls or surfing the web on 3G I notice that the bars drop, not enough to drop the call, but five bars down to one!!!!

Also, sometimes leaving the phone in my pocket, when I take it out it's sometimes "searching" and has no reception.

Is anyone else experiencing this? is it my network provider or have I got a dud iPhone?

Come on guys...
Hey doodlejumper, I think you better do a search on this one.
Have you seen the news lately?
This subject has been widely discussed. Just look under iPhones in the forum and the top 10 or 20 threads will likely be about your situation.
You could also Google news the matter. Just put in iPhone, Apple, etc... and see what you get.
It's always best to search before posting friend.
Good luck.

For starters try this

or this

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

Wonder if Mr. Jobs knows about this yet? Maybe some troll should email him and tell him!

Who would have thought??? Really??? Make an appointment with the Genius bar and let us know what they say....

Sometimes I’m embarrassed to be a member of this forum.

OP, ignore the comments. You came on here and posted without looking at any of the threads that have been made (I’m going to think positive, and assume you’re not trolling, until you show you are). Anyway, look through some of those threads and you’ll see the reception issue is being widely discussed. Search on reception and iPhone.
