I just got a current gen Apple TV and I seem to be having some problems with AirPlay. It is connected to the same wifi as all my other devices, and AirPlay shows up on my laptop and phone, but when I try to AirPlay certain things, it does nothing and then my wifi drops out for about 20 seconds and then reconnects. I can AirPlay music from iPhone and YouTube, but if I try to AirPlay the Amazon app or try to AirPlay from my MBA, it causes my wifi to cut out and I have to wait like 20 seconds for everything to come back. The Apple TV is up to date too. Anyone got any ideas?

I restarted my router and it appears to have fixed the problem.

This happens to me sometimes too. More specifically doesn't recognize the Apple TV on the network so no airplay option is available. I usually just restart my iPhone or iPad and it solves the problem. Good luck.
