Please help,

I just installed Leopard for my macbook core 2 (2g ram)

Now I cant open my mac anymore

while only text ' filevault-protected home folder doesnt open and needs to be repaired'

appears and mac doesnt accept my password to go in.

Since I luckily stored all my data in external harddisk I dont worry to loose any or all data. So any help is appreciated. Thanks Jari

Seems like it is a known problem there are some suggested solutions here.

But if you have all your data on the external I would just reinstall and copy it off the external.

Is the data on your external inside a filevault as well. Or is it just an encrypted disk image. just wondering because you will want to check that the data is accessible on the external before doing erasing.

how can I reinstall from this stage? I tried with several ways but there is no effect after installing Leopard Install DVD. I Tried also with pressing apple+C

Thanks Jari Zürich

You need to put the DVD in and hold cmd+c as the computer starts. It will then boot from the DVD and you can run through the installer.

Have you checked you can access the data on the external drive.
